What is this?
This blog is:
Educational in use
Its purpose is to explore the Wikipedia behind what you see when browsing the site for information. To explore the talk pages, user histories, and other gritty areas most people find boring or troublesome. A place to store interesting tidbits about Wikipedia pages and users I come across as I try to understand this all-important website.
Focused on the English version of Wikipedia
Unless for some reason I decide to start delving into other languages, of course. Either way though, the primary focus of the site will remain on English Wikipedia, because it is where I'm most comfortable.
This blog is not:
A venue for personal attacks on Wikipedia users, or other persons
It is not my intention to attack or misrepresent anyone here. How I see things may or may not have any actual relation to reality. Due to the nature of this endeavor, claims will be presented about the nature of users' involvement in Wikipedia. Mishaps are inevitable. Please try to understand that there is no malicious intent behind any of this. Assume good faith!
An anti-Wiki sounding board
I have nothing against Wikipedia whatsoever. I love the site and I feel like it continues to advance human education and intelligence every day it exists. Having said that, there will certainly be times when I will question certain aspects of the site.
